About the Rescue Haiti Foundation: The Rescue Haiti Foundation is a non-profit organization, started in the hopes of strengthening the fragile healthcare system in Haiti. Through research, the foundation estimated that the healthcare system would be crippled by the year 2040 if improvements weren’t made. Unfortunately, on January 12th 2010 the unthinkable happened, Haiti was devastated by an earthquake of great magnitude causing suffering to a nation that was already the western hemisphere’s poorest country.
The Rescue Haiti Foundation focus on issues that requires urgent action, such as, inadequate healthcare, social services, HIV/AIDS & infectious diseases. In conjunction with the Rescue Haiti Project, The Rescue Haiti Foundation hopes build the first research hospital in Haiti. The hospital will be recognized as a leading medical center in Haiti and one of the best in the western hemisphere. We will be at the forefront of clinical services, medical research and education. In concert with affiliated medical schools we will create, teach and deliver tomorrow’s breakthroughs in medical science.
