Frantz Emile is a highly acclaimed Haitian musician, composer, and performer whose extraordinary talent and versatility have left an indelible mark on Haiti’s music landscape. With decades of experience and collaborations spanning various genres and celebrated artists, Emile is a testament to the transformative power of music.

Born with a natural inclination for melody, Emile began his musical journey at the age of 13 when he started learning to play the guitar. By 16, he had already made a name for himself, performing at a Baptist church and joining the band “Chacha Stars” alongside Rodrigue Toussaint of Bossa Combo fame. This early exposure set the stage for a career marked by innovation and artistic excellence.

Emile’s musical journey includes stints with some of Haiti’s most iconic bands and artists. He played guitar with D.P. Express for a month and Scorpio d’Haïti for three months, before expanding his repertoire as a bass player with renowned groups and artists such as Skandal, Sakaj, Jacky Ambroise, Emeline Michel, Hans Peters, Eric Virgal, Harry Diboula, and Jacques Sauveur Jean. From 1992, he spent six formative years as a member of the legendary band Mizik Mizik, where he collaborated with Fabrice Rouzier, his mentor, and Keke Belizaire. During this period, he composed classics like Wébè, Kenbe’m, Men Krab La, and Mépris, while also contributing arrangements for songs such as Lè Nap Fè Lanmou, Irvington, and Ayizan.

Frantz Emile’s career is a testament to his adaptability and passion for exploring new sounds. He co-founded the band LOV’ with Emmanuel Obas, Vardy Pharel, and Moril Gattereau, and performed with legendary groups like System Band and Tabou Combo. His global appeal also led him to experiment with diverse genres, playing soukous with an African band in Georgia and reggae with “Revolution Band.”

Over the years, Emile has collaborated with some of the most prominent names in the Haitian and Caribbean music scenes, including Alan Cavé, Stephane Alexander, Claudy Divine, Mikaben, and Black Alex, among others. These partnerships highlight his ability to seamlessly blend his talent with a variety of musical styles, enriching every project he touches.
